CALTART - Caltabellotta Contemporary Art Project - is an international exhibition of Contemporary Art curated by gallerist Antonio Sammartano at the Hermitage of San Pellegrino in Caltabellotta.
The comparison between artists on the international scene with Italian artists is main point of the event. "Art renews peoples and reveals their life" is part of the superb epigraph carved on the pediment of the Teatro Massimo of Palermo. No sentence more than this is able to better explain how art, in all its forms, has for centuries played a particularly important role in the historical, cultural, social and religious evolution of the human being.
Caltabellotta intends therefore with this project start a new path of international artistic and cultural investigation in its beautiful historical venues.
